It’s been a while since I had a Monkey update. Plus this blog could use some lighter posts.
“Want da lunch?”
This is what I hear every morning when Monkey comes into our room (he’s in a big boy bed now and therefore, free to roam once awake). What he really means is that he’s hungry and wants some breakfast. But as of right now, every meal is LUNCH.
“Um, sure.”
This is the latest response to a Yes/No question. Not sure where he picked this one up.
“Fist Bump!”
He’s known how to “fist bump” for a while. Something DH found imperative for Monkey to learn. HOWEVER, today, our cat, Pia, was under our bed and Monkey chased after her putting his hand under the bed (not the greatest idea, really). So she batted him with her front paw. Well, apparently, Monkey thought it was a fist bump and exclaimed excitedly, “Fist Bump!” and proceeded to give Pia’s paw a fist bump.
haha! love the fist bump story!
Aria knows that the meals throughout the day have different names, but most of the time, they are called “dinn-der”. and I love how kids so quickly pick up casual conversational phrases like “um, sure”
we gotta get together so they can play!
The fist bump story is hysterical!
And right now all meals in our house are “snack.” And then when we ask what he wants for snack he lists off about 5 different foods.
And we REALLY have to watch everything that is said around Sasha. You never know what he’s going to decide to repeat.
That’s super cute!
We need to teach the Pumpkin to fist bump!
